KubeNet Appointed as Managed IT Service Provider for Erskine Veterans Charity

Updated: 2 days ago

We’re proud to announce that KubeNet has been appointed as the Managed IT Service Provider for Erskine Veterans Charity, supporting the charity as it continues its vital work with veterans and their families.

This partnership marks the beginning of a long‑term collaboration focused on reliability, cyber security, and people‑first IT support - ensuring technology strengthens, rather than distracts from, the care Erskine delivers every day.

About Erskine Veterans Charity

Founded in 1916, Erskine Veterans Charity is Scotland’s leading provider of care and support for veterans. Today, the charity supports more than 1,300 veterans and their families each year through a wide range of services delivered across Scotland.

Erskine’s work spans specialist care homes, supported housing, community and activity centres, transitional accommodation for veterans at risk of homelessness, and home support services that help veterans live independently with dignity. With multiple locations and a diverse range of services, Erskine relies on technology that is dependable, secure, and available whenever it’s needed.

Why Erskine Chose KubeNet as their Managed IT Service Provider

Erskine went to market looking for a Managed IT Service partner who could support an organisation of this scale and complexity. Their priorities were clear:

  • strong cyber security and data protection

  • resilient, well‑managed infrastructure

  • responsive, human support for staff and volunteers

  • long‑term stability and a clear improvement roadmap

Following a competitive tender process, KubeNet was selected based on our experience supporting charities and regulated environments, our security‑first approach, and our ability to deliver both day‑to‑day support and strategic guidance.

Eddie Foy, Head of Digital and Technology at Erskine Veterans Charity said:

"Everything we do begins with the veterans we support, and the people who care for them. To deliver that care with dignity and compassion, our teams need technology they can trust every single day. KubeNet showed not only the technical strength we were looking for, but a genuine understanding of what Erskine stands for. Their commitment to protecting our organisation, supporting our staff, and contributing to our wider mission made this partnership feel like the right step for our future. This is about more than IT services — it’s about strengthening the foundations that allow us to give veterans the quality of life they deserve."

What KubeNet Will Be Delivering

As Erskine’s Managed IT Service Provider, KubeNet will be responsible for supporting and maintaining their full IT environment, including:

  • Service desk support for staff and volunteers

  • Proactive infrastructure and network management

  • Enhanced cyber security aligned with best practice

  • Regular on‑site engineering support across Erskine locations

  • A structured roadmap for ongoing modernisation and resilience

Our role is to ensure Erskine’s systems are reliable, secure, and fit for purpose whilst allowing teams to focus fully on supporting veterans.

A People‑First Transition

A key part of this partnership is continuity.

All three members of Erskine’s internal IT team have transferred to KubeNet under TUPE and are now part of Team Kube. They continue to support Erskine throughout the transition, bringing invaluable organisational knowledge and familiar faces for staff and volunteers.

Over time, they will become fully embedded KubeNet engineers, strengthening the service further while maintaining the consistency and understanding that Erskine depends on.

Strengthening Cyber Security Across the Organisation

Cyber security was a critical consideration throughout Erskine’s procurement process. As part of this engagement, KubeNet is introducing enhanced protections designed to safeguard sensitive data, maintain service availability, and reduce risk across all sites.

This includes improved monitoring, strengthened security policies, proactive patching, and an ongoing focus on cyber resilience ensuring Erskine remains protected as threats continue to evolve.

Supporting Erskine Beyond Technology

Our partnership with Erskine Veterans Charity goes beyond IT services.

As part of KubeNet’s wider Corporate Social Responsibility commitments, we will also support Erskine through fundraising initiatives, staff volunteering days, and community engagement activities. This allows Team Kube to contribute directly to the charity’s mission and the veterans it supports.

What This Partnership Means Going Forward

This collaboration reflects KubeNet’s commitment to delivering Managed IT Services and cyber security for charities, particularly those operating in complex, people‑focused environments.

We’re honoured to support Erskine Veterans Charity and look forward to working closely with their teams to strengthen digital resilience, improve reliability, and ensure technology continues to enable their vital work.

Julie Inglis, KubeNet Director, said:

“Erskine is one of Scotland’s most respected and impactful charities. We are honoured to support their mission by providing secure, modern, and resilient IT services across all locations. Our role is to give Erskine’s staff, volunteers, and residents the confidence that technology will always be there for them.”
