The Company
Vysus Group is a leading engineering and technical consultancy, offering specialist asset performance, risk management and project management expertise across complex industrial and energy assets - including oil & gas, nuclear and renewables - as well as the wider energy transition.
Headquartered in Aberdeen, with operations spanning around 16 countries, Vysus Group works on large-scale, high-profile energy projects for clients around the world, supporting organisations across the energy sector with specialist technical expertise and strategic insight. Its global presence enables the business to deliver consistent, high-quality services across a diverse range of projects and markets.
The Objective
Following its split from Lloyd’s Register, Vysus Group needed to establish a completely new, cloud-only IT suite from scratch - one capable of supporting a global, multi-department workforce operating across different time zones.
The new environment needed to provide a secure, scalable and flexible foundation for the business, while meeting the differing requirements of individual departments and ensuring employees could work effectively from locations around the world. Crucially, the new IT estate needed to operate independently, with no reliance on legacy Lloyd’s Register infrastructure.
The Challenge
As a newly independent business, Vysus Group had to separate entirely from its former parent company’s IT systems while continuing to support users worldwide, across multiple time zones, without disruption to day-to-day operations.
This required the rapid development of a completely new IT environment, with careful planning needed to ensure systems, devices and users could transition smoothly to the new infrastructure.
The new environment needed to be cloud-first, scalable and flexible enough to meet the differing needs of individual departments, while providing a secure and reliable foundation for the organisation’s future growth - all within a tight timeframe.
Our Approach
Full Managed Service Support
KubeNet became Vysus Group’s outsourced IT partner, delivering end-to-end managed service support from day one of the newly independent business.
Working closely with the Vysus Group team, KubeNet provided ongoing technical support and expertise across the new IT environment, helping ensure users had a reliable and consistent service throughout the transition and beyond.
New Microsoft 365 Tenancy & Azure Infrastructure
We designed and built a brand-new, cloud-only Microsoft 365 tenancy alongside a new Azure infrastructure, configured to reflect the specific needs of each individual department.
The new environment provided Vysus Group with a secure, scalable and flexible IT foundation, enabling teams across different locations to collaborate effectively while supporting the organisation's continued growth.
Global Device Rebuild Programme
Working across multiple time zones, our team planned and delivered a full device rebuild programme, migrating and rebuilding all 800 devices onto the new environment with minimal disruption to users.
The programme was carefully coordinated to support Vysus Group's globally dispersed workforce, ensuring employees could quickly access the systems and services they needed to continue working effectively throughout the transition.
The Results
Full cloud-only IT solution delivered in just three months, giving Vysus Group a completely new, secure and scalable technology environment from the point of separation. The rapid delivery provided the business with the infrastructure and services needed to operate independently without compromising day-to-day operations.
All 800 devices successfully rebuilt and migrated to the new environment, ensuring employees across Vysus Group could transition to the new IT estate with minimal disruption. The programme was delivered across a globally dispersed workforce while maintaining continuity for users throughout the process.
