Introduction
KubeNet partnered with Minerva Innovation Group to simplify and strengthen their IT environment. The Company
Minerva Innovation Group is an award-winning research and development funding specialist, helping businesses across the UK and Ireland access R&D tax relief. With a focus on ethical claiming practices and transparent support, Minerva works predominantly with SMEs across a wide range of sectors.
As the business grew, so did the complexity of its IT setup. With separate suppliers for telephony, Microsoft licensing, and cyber security, Minerva Innovation Group was looking to streamline operations, reduce costs, and ensure reliable day-to-day support. They chose to consolidate services with KubeNet and are now fully supported through our managed IT service, including Teams calling, Microsoft licensing, and layered cyber protection.
Objective
The primary objective of this project was to simplify and strengthen Minerva Innovation Group’s IT environment by consolidating services and enabling a more integrated, secure setup that would support long-term growth. Our goal was to:
Migrate all company data and systems from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 to unlock the full capabilities of the Microsoft ecosystem
Streamline the management of IT, telephony, cyber security, and licensing by consolidating services under a single provider
Provide a stable, secure foundation for the business with fully managed IT support and proactive cyber protection
The Challenge
Minerva Innovation Group was already familiar with KubeNet through our ongoing presence at Clyde Gateway, where our regular onsite days and proactive support had made a strong impression. Following an in-depth discovery process, we worked closely with the team to understand the day-to-day challenges they were facing. From there, we scoped and delivered a fully managed IT solution that introduced new services, reduced overall costs, and significantly improved both functionality and support.
The project was delivered in clearly defined stages, with full transparency on timelines and outcomes. Services were rolled out in a phased approach to minimise disruption, with each element carefully tested and supported post-deployment. This included the migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, the implementation of Teams calling, and the activation of security and support services under a single managed package.
Following project completion, Minerva Innovation Group continues to receive regular support through our service desk and monthly onsite days at Clyde Gateway. Our account management team maintains regular check-ins to ensure their setup evolves with the business and that their IT continues to perform reliably and securely.
